Chatur Masya

Rules for stay at one place during monsoon, considering difficulties in
travelling and Ahimsa to insects. The duration is of 4 Paksha (fortnights) or 4 months. It commences from Sukla Paksha (Before full moon) 11 th of Adi/ Ashada/ July and ends
on Sukla Paksha (Before full moon) 11 th of Kartik/ November.
The full moon day at the commencement is celebrated as Vyasa Puja / Guru Poornima.
